Patient Resources

Resources

  • Functional medicine is a patient-centred, root-cause approach that looks at why symptoms or disease have appeared — considering genetics, environment, lifestyle, and systems in the body. Unlike conventional medicine which often treats symptoms or isolated parts, we aim to restore balance and support the body’s innate healing.

  • No, we encourage you to keep your primary care provider and any specialist care you already have. At REWILD, our care is integrative: we collaborate and support you, rather than replacing conventional medicine unless needed.

  • You begin with a 60-minute detailed consultation: we review your health history, timeline of symptoms, lifestyle factors (diet, sleep, stress, environment, relationships), medical and family history, and any prior testing or exposures. This deep dive sets the stage for advanced lab testing (if needed) and a personalised plan.

  • We may recommend tests such as GI Map (gut microbiome), organic acids, hormone panels (e.g., DUTCH), food sensitivities, nutrient levels, inflammatory markers, standard labs (CBC, CMP) and more. These help us uncover hidden imbalances (gut, hormones, detox, immune) so we can tailor your healing plan.

  • Every person is unique — the timeline depends on how long the problem has been present, how deeply the root causes run, how consistent the lifestyle changes, and how many systems are involved. Some people notice changes within a few weeks; others require several months to shift deeply entrenched patterns. What matters is steady progress and commitment to your path of healing.

  • Yes, our IV nutrient infusions (e.g., Myers’ Cocktail, Vitamin C, Glutathione) and bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) are administered by qualified, licensed practitioners. We monitor you carefully, use evidence-informed protocols, and tailor to your individual needs. If you have any specific health conditions or medications, we review risks & benefits together and coordinate with your other providers.

  • Many traditional insurance plans do not cover the full spectrum of functional/holistic care (especially advanced testing and integrative appointments). We encourage you to check with your insurance. For out-of-pocket services, we can provide superbills or receipts that you may submit to your insurance/health-saving account as your plan allows. We will always work transparently so you understand costs ahead of time.

  • We specialize in:

    • Chronic fatigue, unresolved symptoms, low energy

    • Hormonal imbalances (menstrual issues, fertility, midlife transitions, perimenopause/menopause)

    • Digestive disorders (IBS, bloating, food sensitivities, leaky gut)

    • Autoimmune conditions (supporting immune balance, reducing inflammation)

    • Stress-related disorders, burnout, sleep disruption

    • General wellness optimization, not just “absence of disease” but vitality and balance.

    • Complete the health history questionnaire we send you in advance.

    • Bring any prior lab results, imaging reports, or relevant medical records.

    • Think about your major goals, your symptom timeline, exposures, lifestyle patterns (sleep, diet, stress).

    • Be ready to be honest and open, the more we know, the deeper we can go in uncovering root causes.

    • If it’s applicable, fast 8-12 hours (if bloodwork will be drawn) or follow any prep for testing we send.

  • Yes, after your consultation, we provide a personalized health plan that includes labs/testing recommendations, dietary and lifestyle strategies, supplements (if needed), and goals. We schedule follow-up visits and ongoing support to track progress, refine the plan, and celebrate your wins. We believe in root-cause healing, not quick fixes, and we walk the path with you.

  • That depends on your plan and your rate of progress. Some patients start with visits every 4–6 weeks to fine-tune from labs and lifestyle changes. As you stabilize, follow-ups may move to every 3–6 months for maintenance and optimisation. We tailor the frequency to your needs, budget, and lifestyle.

  • At REWILD, we emphasize deep listening, compassionate care, and your full story, not just symptoms. Our mission is to help you “return to nature, return to balance.” We focus on root causes, personalise every plan, integrate natural therapies with evidence, and create a space where you are truly heard and empowered. Many patients who felt overlooked in traditional settings find here a different kind of experience.

  • We understand life happens. Please provide at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee. This policy allows us to honor your time and the time of others seeking care.

  • During the appointment for an IV therapy: you’ll be seated comfortably, vital signs checked, IV placed by our provider, the infusion administered (time depending on formula). You can relax, read, or rest during the therapy. After the infusion, we review any reactions & next steps. Many feel boosted energy or improved recovery, we will discuss what to expect and any post-infusion recommendations.

  • While our primary focus is adult care (men & women) seeking functional/hormonal/gut health balance, we evaluate each individual’s case and determine suitability. We do not specialize in pediatrics but may refer to child-specific providers as needed.
